Earlier this week Jessica Tietz was on the tractor cutting hay when she received a call on her cell phone. The man on the other end was University of Nebraska Athletic Director Tom Osborne. Coach Osborne and Womens B-Ball Coach Connie Yori saw Jess play at a basketball tournament in Omaha last weekend and he wanted to let her know that the University was interested in having her come and visit campus.
Few B-R athletes get contacted by UNL, and Dr. Osborne probably doesn't have many phone conversations where the female athlete informs him that she is helping bale hay.
