Monsanto $10,000 Check Presentation

Area farmers David Macklin and Dale Logemann display check from Monsanto
America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, helps farmers positively impact their communities by supporting local school districts. The program gives farmers the opportunity to nominate a rural public school district in their community to compete for merit-based grants of either $10,000 or $25,000 to enhance math and/or science education. Since 2011, over $12 million has been awarded to school districts through this program. In 2017, the program was available in 1,331 counties across 41 states, and grants totaling $2.3 million will be awarded.

Bancroft-Rosalie Elementary School was nominated by the following area farmers-
ANITA BRAY, CHRISTOPHER TIETZ, DALE LOGEMANN, DAVID MACKLIN, DONNA SIEBRANDT, Geoff Bray, LEROY BRAY, STEVEN SORENSEN

Bancroft-Rosalie Elementary School received a $10,000 grant to implement the Project Lead The Way Launch science curriculum in grades K-5. PLTW Launch is project-based and engages students in hands-on activities in computer science, engineering, and biomedical science. The goal is for students to become creative, collaborative problem solvers ready to take on any challenge.   Congratulations and thank you Monsanto and Bancroft-Rosalie area farmers.
