The Bancroft-Rosalie Board of Education
met Monday, April 10, 2017 at 7:30 pm
in Bancroft. Superintendent Cerny reported
on transportation, Roberts Rules of
Order, the External Visit Team Final
Report, Impact Aide application, and Fridays
at Northeast.
In old business, the board gave final
approval to policies 0580.1 Meal Charge
Policy and 0774 Safety Plan.
In new business, the board approved the
summer school enrichment program in
June and the Jumpstart Program in late
July and August. The board reviewed the
Special Education Title I, and poverty
programs. The senior trip itinerary to
Kansas City was given approval and up
to $500 was approved for the annual
recognition luncheon
and awards.
In other new business, Dr. Cerny
presented wages and benefits for classified staff
for 2017-18 and coaches and sponsors
assignments in 2017-18. The Board
accepted the bid from Stan Ortmeier and
Company to upgrade the school HVAC
system, the bid from Intelligent
Buildings for the electrical upgrade, and the bid
from Sysco to replace the convection
oven in the kitchen. Approval was given
to
add Lyons-Decatur to the Girls Golf cooperative
with Pender.
The
board discussed the Pathways To Tomorrow program and consensus was to
support
the partnership with Northeast Community College and the new extended
campus
in West Point.
The
board also requested that two Superintendent advisory committees be
appointed
to oversee the Budget and Curriculum and Instruction for P2T.
The
board went into executive session to discuss personnel.
