On May 23-25 UNO students will be studying John Neihardt in Bancroft, Nebraska. The summer workshop will be offered to students in the UNO Goodrich Scholars program and will include a service project at the Neihardt Historic Site.
Bancroft-Rosalie students can participate in the service project and meet the students and UNO instructors in the Goodrich Scholars Program. The Goodrich Program provides full tuition and academic support to students accepted into the program at UNO.
The service project will involve landscaping and maintenance work at the Neihardt Site and possibly at another site in Bancroft. The college students will be staying on the Hammel Farm outside of Bancroft.
This workshop os a collaborative effort between the University of Nebraska-Omaha, the John G. Neihardt Foundation Board of Directors, the Neihardt site staff and Bancroft-Rosalie Community Schools.
