Bancroft-Rosalie School Board News August 13, 2012


The Bancroft-Rosalie Board of Education met Monday, August 13, 2012 at 7:30 pm in Bancroft.
Superintendent Cerny presented the July transportation report and NeSA scores.

In old business the board appointed Mike Nottlemann to fill the term of board member Marlon Hennig. Doug Reil was elected Board Treasurer. The board gave final approval to amended policies #413 and #590.

Amber Bridges, cheerleader sponsor, presented the board with information regarding the cheerleader fireworks fund-raiser and plans for next year.

In new business the board reviewed the 2012-13 budget and set the substitute teacher rate at $110, and the activity rate at $5 for adults and $4 for students. Season pass prices will remain at $20 for a student, $40 for an adult, and $60 for an adult and spouse. The board approved the 2012-13 handbooks and the employment of Jason Gatzemeyer as a paraprofessional. First approval was given to board policy 0350.1 Evaluation of Certificated Employees.

The board discussed Option Enrollment. Superintendent Cerny was directed to contact the Nebraska Department of Education for clarification on students who option enroll a second time. After clarification is received, the board will consider future actions.
