The vote to give the school board authority to issue up to $1,000,000 in bonds for a four classroom addition failed. We had 23 Thurston Co. voters, 0 Burt Co voters and 83 Cuming Co. voters for a total of 106. 11 ballots were cast for Yes and 95 No.
Hopefully the economy will turn around, state aid will rebound, land valuations will stabilize, and the addition can be brought up again.
