Message from Nebraska Commissioner of Education regarding state assessments

Matt Blomstedt, Nebraska Commissioner of Education, sent the following press release regarding state assessments results. Individual student results for Bancroft-Rosalie students will be sent home with first quarter report cards. Notice that nearly half of Nebraska students in grades 3-8 scored at Level 3, which is below benchmark. It is explained that the rigor of the test was increased, which resulted in fewer students meeting the new higher standards expected of Nebraska students
