NSAA question- Facility Size for Class C-2

Those of you that attended the Bancroft-Rosalie vs. Elmwood-Murdock basketball game at the State Tournament last March can attest to the size of the crowds that attend C-2 state basketball games. The NSAA Board of Directors has been discussing the facility size for Class C-2. The Lincoln High School gyms do not have the capacity to hold the spectators for some Boys Class C-2 game sessions. And there isn't a larger facility available that can hold 3,000 fans. The problem was addressed several years ago when tickets went from three game sessions per ticket to two game sessions, but it is still a problem for some games that have teams with big crowd followings. There are several possible options- making the C-2 game admission good for only one game on Thursday; moving Class A games to Wednesday so C-2 can play in the Devaney Center; having C-2 and D-2 game sessions rather than sessions having only one class playing; or leaving it as it is and suggesting that fans get to the site early to ensure they get in.. The NSAA Board will be seeking direction from its member schools to see how to best address this issue.
