The Bancroft-Rosalie Board of Education met Monday, May
14, 2018 at 7:30 pm in
Bancroft.
Superintendent Cerny presented the April transportation
report, expected enrollment
for 2018-19, Social Media Policy for staff, Junior
high speech program, Dual credit
classes for 2018-19, Tim Browning hired for
after-school program director, and Free
and Reduced Lunch Policy. Principal
Sjuts reported on semester tests, senior sneak
trip, and graduation.
In old
business, the board discussed the feasibility study with Lyons-Decatur in
preparation for the June 7 BRLD coop meeting.
In new business, the board reviewed the
preliminary budget study, summer staff
training and workshops, and major
purchase requisitions. The Board approved the
purchase of a 2018 Chevrolet Impala
and carpeting for the elementary hallways
and commons area.
In
other new business, the Board set wages for activity bus drivers and substitute
teachers and classified staff, accepted the resignations of Micah Buller and
Virginia
Frisch, offered teaching contracts to Allie Vogt and Melinda
Nottlemann, and
approved the softball cooperative with Wisner-Pilger,
Lyons-Decatur, and Pender
for 2018 and 2019.

board recognized Naomi Brummond for 22 years of service on the
Bancroft-Rosalie Board of Education. Scott Hansen was appointed to fill the
remaining term for
Naomi.
