NeSA Reading preliminary results

Students in grades 3-8 have completed the NeSA Reading test and we have tabulated the results based on the scores that have been needed to pass in previous years. We are very pleased with the Elementary students performance. Grade 3 84% met benchmark 15% exceeded benchmark Grade 4 100% met benchmark!!!!!!! 27% exceeded benchmark Grade 5 81% met benchmark 10% exceeded benchmark Grade 6 90% met benchmark 42% exceeded benchmark Grade 7 74% met benchmark 26% exceeded benchmark Grade 8 70% met benchmark 5% exceeded benchmark

Winnebago will host youth slow pitch softball leagues this summer

Deadline to sign up for the Winnebago Tribe Land of Wellness Slow Pitch Softball is April 18. The Leagues start play in May and will play on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Interested players can form their own team or you can register and be placed on a team.

B-R Speech Team Finishes Runner-up at State

Bancroft-Rosalie Speech is bringing home the D-1 State Runner-up trophy at today's Championships in Kearney.
Six events made the finals.
Individual results-
Serious Prose: Brianna Wegner 2nd Place
Persuasive: Brianna Wegner 4th place and Kylita Gomez 6th place
Informative: Kylita Gomez 5th place
Duet Acting: Austin Bruning and Ian Nottlemann 5th place
Oral Interpretation of Drama: Chase Bonsall, Austin Bruning, Ryan Wellman, Ian Nottlemann, and Jerrica Tietz 5th place
Congratulations Coach Ronda Ras and Coach Anita Bray for bringing home the school's first speech trophy.

Shelby Ostrand signs with Midland University for Basketball

Shelby Ostrand signed to play basketball at Midland University in Fremont. In attendance at the signing were Midland Coach Shawn Gilbert, B-R coaches Bullet Beaudette and Rebecca James, and parents Mike and Angie Ostrand. Shelby plans to major in Early Childhood Education.

Bancroft-Rosalie Preschool Enrollment Night will be May 6, 5:30-6:30 pm

Bancroft-Rosalie Preschool is holding an application night for 3 and 4 year olds on Tuesday, May 6th from 5:30-6:30pm in the old gym. Please bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization records. If your child will be 5 before August 1st, they are not eligible for preschool. If your child will be turning 3 during the school year, we would love to have you come as well so we can get your child on the waiting list to start after their birthday. If you are unable to attend on this evening, but wish to fill out an application, please contact the school office at (402) 648-3336.

Preston Peters will Golf for Northeast Community College- signed today

Preston Peters signed a letter of intent to Golf at Northeast Community College next year. Coach Brad Bosch was at Bancroft-Rosalie School this morning for the signing ceremony along with B-R Coach Brook Darnell and Rod and Cindy Peters.

Neihardt Spring Conference Saturday April 26 in Bancroft

NeSA Reading testing starts today for grades 3-8 and 11

Students are taking the Nebraska State Assessment for Reading this week. It is a two day test. 5th and 6th graders are taking the NeSA Reading Tuesday and Wednesday morning, 3rd and 4th graders on Thursday and Friday morning, and 7th and 8th graders are also taking the test Thursday and Friday morning. The 11th grade students are taking the test next Tuesday and Wednesday because of state speech this week. Please make sure your students are well rested and encourage them to give their best effort on every test question. We are confident that if our students do their best, they will score well on the test.
