Thurston County Broadband Project

You can read about how Thurston County School Districts are working to provide internet access to all households in the following World Herald Article.

The project should be implemented in mid-July.

Any household in the Bancroft-Rosalie School District can request a Mi-Fi device for their to receive school internet for educational purposes. The Internet will be transmitted from the Bancroft water tower and the Rosalie Gymnasium.

More details to come.

Neihardt Site Improvements

The Neihardt Site has a plexiglas shield at the counter for the safety of staff and guests in the museum. The museum is open only by appointment and will return to regular summer hours on July 7.

Volunteers spread mulch around the outdoor plants located throughout the grounds. The site is looking very good. You are free to walk the grounds any time you like.

The BRLD Co-Op Committee will consist of the administrative teams and three board members each from the Bancroft-Rosalie school district and the Lyons-Decatur school district.  This committee has no voting power but is a communication tool for the Co-Op.  The committee will meet a minimum of three times a year, once during the summer, in between volleyball and basketball, and in between basketball and track/golf.  Periodically, a need may arise to meet to discuss immediate concerns.  Both districts will, in good faith, honor the other district’s request in a timely manner.  At these times, discussion about the Co-Op will take place.  Also, recommendations for any changes to the Coach’s Handbook can be made at this time.  It is the expectation that committees operate in good faith and use professional judgment.  If a committee member has an issue with a coach or is operating in bad faith, said member would be required/expected to recuse himself or herself prior to the discussion of the issue at hand.
