Distance learning change for 2014
The distance learning room equipment is outdated and the codec (an expensive piece) doesn't work. The school has chosen to purchase a cart system rather than replace the room equipment. The cost of the teacher cart system (pictured below) is $14,542. The school has applied for a RUS grant to cover half of the cost of the cart system.
Bancroft-Rosalie has one cart system already, which is used to receive classes. The new cart will be a teacher station for sending classes. Currently Mrs. Ras and Mr. Zavadil send classes to other schools.

Community Service Opportunities at Walthill Rodeo
This is a special year for the Walthill Rodeo--its 40th year. The Village of Walthill is helping the rodeo club make it a memorable event. We are organizing games in the park and would like to have organizations, youth groups and/or church groups run some old time games in the park the Saturday afternoon of rodeo, July 12 from 1-4. The town will supply the prizes. Some ideas for old time games could include the crab crawl, 3-legged race, gunny sack race, etc. We are also going to try to have face painting and balloon animals by Master's Hands out of Tekamah. If your organization is interested in helping with this contact
