The concept is simple: with $15.00 in hand, come and shop in a locally-owned establishment to:
Support your favorite local business
Show your appreciation for the local business economy
Create a new customer base and re-acquaint old customers
Participants are to meet in front of the Bancroft Community Building at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This is when/where we will announce the one lucky business to be 'mobbed.' Make sure to spread the word by telling all of your friends to come support a local business. Hope to see all of you there on Thursday!
Make sure to come with $15.00 to spend at the selected business and when checking out, write your name and phone number on the back of your receipt to be entered into the drawing for a chance to win Bancroft Bucks. One lucky participant will be the winner of the Bancroft Bucks!

Home from New York
The B-R Hype has been silent while I was on vacation in New York City.
We attended four Broadway productions, including my favorite "The Book of Mormon." We visited everything in Manhattan I wanted to see- the 9-11 Memorial, The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Van Gogh's "Starry Night), Greenwich Park, Chinatown and Little Italy.
We even had soup at the soup place made famous on Seinfeld and saw the apartment building where the show Friends supposedly takes place.
I had fun but I am glad to be home. A cheapskate like me can only eat so many pieces of 99 cent cheese pizza.
