BRLD Youth Basketball Tournament Feb 16- Looking for Teams


School Board Meeting Summary


The December meeting of the Bancroft-Rosalie School Board was held Monday, December 10, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the school library. Dr. Cerny presented the November transportation report, staff Christmas Saturday January 12 at Lucky’s, changing the school auditor to Dana Cole, and results of the school board election.

In new business, the board approved the 2017-18 audit, the 2017-18 annual report and the amended 403B plan. The board reviewed the school health services program.

The board also approved the Negotiated Agreement with Teachers for 2019-20 and 2020-21 and approved AFLAC to offer short term disability insurance to the teachers.

Child Passenger Safety Law Changes

Child Passenger Safety Law Changes
Starting January 1, 2019, Nebraska’s child passenger laws change to keep children safer as they travel. New provisions of the law include:
  1. Children must ride rear-facing up to age 2 or until they reach the upper weight and height limit allowed by the car seat manufacturer;
  2. Children up to age 8 must ride in a correctly installed car seat or booster seat;
  3. Children up to age 8 must ride in the back seat, as long as there is a back seat equipped with a seat belt and is not already occupied by other children under eight years of age.
