Touchscreen digital Display Board
The Bancroft-Rosalie Educational Foundation and Bancroft-Rosalie School partnered to purchase a Digital Design Board that is available in the school commons area.
The board has all of the current BRLD sports records. Over the summer, additional content pages will be added, including past school yearbooks, state championship teams, and speech, drama, and other school activities.
Yearbooks will be accessible on the internet. The classes of 2017 and 2018 will be scanned and uploaded in June. If you would like to sponsor a yearbook or state championship team on the internet and the display board, the cost is $300.

Classroom Paraprofessional/After-school Program Supervisor
Bancroft-Rosalie School is seeking applications for a Paraprofessional/After-school
Program Supervisor.
The
Paraprofessional will be responsible for supervising recess and the lunchroom,
and working with students one-on-one and in small groups. Paraprofessional
hours will be from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.
After-school
program supervision will include supervising the after-school program and
program volunteers from 3:30- 6:30 pm, keeping attendance records and arranging
for snacks.
The
applicant must meet the federal “highly qualified” requirements. This can be
completed at the school as part of the job.
The
starting wage is dependent upon experience.

Teaching Position for 2018-19

Do to the number of students in 4 year old preschool, we are adding a part-time preschool teacher for the 3 year olds for the 2018-19 school year. This person will also be assigned to coordinate the education curriculum for the after-school program.
Early
Childhood- 21st Century Learning Center Coordinator
Bancroft-Rosalie School is seeking applications for a 0.5 FTE Early
Childhood and 0.5 FTE 21st Century Learner Center teacher/coordinator.
Preference is for one person to fill both positions. Contracted hours would be
9:30 am- 5:30 pm.
This
will be a one year position.
Nebraska
teaching certificate and proper endorsement are required. Send letter of

April School Board Meeting News

The Bancroft-Rosalie Board of Education
met Monday, April 9, 2018 at
7:30 pm in Bancroft. Superintendent
Cerny reported on transportation,
replacing the 2005 minivan and
preschool for 2018-19. Principal Sjuts
reported on Senior Sneak trip to
Minneapolis, Graduation, and driver’s
education.
In old business, the board gave final
approval to amended policy 0445
Pregnant and
Parenting Students.
In new business the board approved the
summer school enrichment and
jump start programs and reviewed the Special Education
and Title I
programs. The senior sneak trip to
Kansas City was given approval and
up to $500 was approved for the annual
recognition luncheon and awards.
In other new business, Dr. Cerny
presented wages and benefits for
classified staff for 2018-19, and Mr. Sjuts
presented coaches and
sponsors assignments in 2018-19. The
Board approved the purchase
of a carpet extractor, adding junior
high cross-country as a Fall sport,
set May 16 as the last student day of
school (2:00 dismissal), and offered
a teaching contract to Sierra Lundberg
for Mathematics.
The
board went into executive session to discuss personnel.
