Pathways To Tomorrow Update

An administrative meeting meeting was held for the six schools participating in Pathways To Tomorrow.
This year the following programs were offered in Beemer-
Computer Science (Bancroft-Rosalie has 4 students)
Health Science (B-R has no students)
Residential Construction (B-R has no students)

This spring semester an Education class will be offered through distance learning from 2:00-2:50 pm and B-R will have 3 students participating.

The time schedule for 2018-19 was discussed:
Morning     10:30-12:20    second year classes
Afternoon   12:45- 2:30    first year classes and construction

The plan is to continue to offer the four programs- Computer science, Health science, Education and Residential construction.
The curriculum committee will meet in January to discuss adding additional programs and staffing.

Two school districts are considering joining Pathways To Tomorrow next year.

Making business connections to support job shadowing and internships is a priority before the beginning of school next fall.

Educational Center in West Point

Dirt work is underway at the new site across from the existing education center attached to the Nielsen Center in West Point. There is still hope that the 15,000 square foot building could potentially be ready this Fall if everything falls into place. The new facility will have a welding lab, a construction lab, a manufacturing lab, two 868 sf classrooms, an office area, conference room and a student lounge area.
Classrooms at the existing facility in West Point will be upgraded for Health Science and Computer Science classes.
If the new facility is not available this Fall, P2T classes will be at the Beemer location until the West Point facility is completed and ready for use.
