B-R gets grant from Monsanto for a "Makerspace."
Congratulations! Your school district has been selected to receive a $10,000.00 grant for Implementing a Makerspace for K-8 students through America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. Growing the next generation is very important to farmers, and they realize that you are an integral part of that process. To show their appreciation, farmers in your area nominated you to receive this grant. After your application was submitted, it was reviewed first by math and science teachers from ineligible school districts, then by the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education Advisory Council, a group of 29 prominent farmers from across the country. The Advisory Council was impressed with your dedication to your students and your innovative ideas for improving their educational experiences.

Pathways 2 Tomorrow
Pathways 2 Tomorrow is a consortium of 10 Northeast Nebraska Schools, including Bancroft-Rosalie School, that completed the ReVision process together and is now focused on improving Career and Technical Education programs in their schools.
The Nebraska Department of Education has approved two grant to Pathways 2 Tomorrow for the 2016-17 school year, totaling $230,000. The money will be used for three project goals-
* To develop a comprehensive K-12 Career Education program that will serve as a model for other Nebraska Schools
* Online course development in the Learning Management System, Canvas, to provide contextualized courses for students
* To implement a Computer Information Systems pathway that will follow the Project Lead the Way curriculum. The grant will provide all necessary equipment for this pathway.
This is great news for the Pathways 2 Tomorrow schools and will provide more opportunities for our students.
A big Thank You to all of the businesses that participated in the ReVision process this past year.
