NSAA Classification Meeting

The Nebraska School Activities Association classification committee met Wednesday to look at possible proposals to present to the Districts at the November District meetings. The committee looked at classification based on single gender enrollment, number of classes in each sport/activity, 2 year classification rather than one year, and classification based on enrollment range and ratio. The committee decided to put forth a proposal to classify all sports except track and cross-country based on single gender enrollment. Track and cross country will not be included in this proposal because of the possibility that schools could be competing in two separate districts on the same day, or on back to back days. The committee will continue to study enrollment range and ratio over the next year.
